Muckers Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCAAAADE FGG

Twenty men stand watching the muckersA
Stabbing the sides of the ditchB
Where clay gleams yellowC
Driving the blades of their shovelsA
Deeper and deeper for the new gas mainsA
Wiping sweat off their facesA
With red bandanasA
The muckers work on pausing to pullD
Their boots out of suckholes where they sloshE
-
Of the twenty looking onF
Ten murmer O its a hell of a jobG
Ten others Jesus I wish I had the jobG
