Laughing Corn Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AB BA CCC DECF AGHICBC JKHC

There was a high majestic foolingA
Day before yesterday in the yellow cornB
-
And day after to morrow in the yellow cornB
There will be high majestic foolingA
-
The ears ripen in late summerC
And come on with a conquering laughterC
Come on with a high and conquering laughterC
-
The long tailed blackbirds are hoarseD
One of the smaller blackbirds chitters on a stalkE
And a spot of red is on its shoulderC
And I never heard its name in my lifeF
-
Some of the ears are burstingA
A white juice works insideG
Cornsilk creeps in the end and dangles in the windH
Always I never knew it any other wayI
The wind and the corn talk things over togetherC
And the rain and the corn and the sun and the cornB
Talk things over togetherC
-
Over the road is the farmhouseJ
The siding is white and a green blind is slung looseK
It will not be fixed till the corn is huskedH
The farmer and his wife talk things over togetherC
