Fire Dreams Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBBBBD BE BBF GAHB BIJBK

I REMEMBER here by the fireA
In the flickering reds and saffronsB
They came in a ramshackle tubC
Pilgrims in tall hatsB
Pilgrims of iron jawsB
Drifting by weeks on beaten seasB
And the random chapters sayB
They were glad and sang to GodD
-
And soB
Since the iron jawed men sat downE
And said 'Thanks O God '-
For life and soup and a little lessB
Than a hobo handout to dayB
Since gray winds blew gray patterns of sleet on Plymouth RockF
Since the iron jawed men sang 'Thanks O God '-
You and I O Child of the WestG
Remember more than everA
November and the hunter's moonH
November and the yellow spotted hillsB
-
And soB
In the name of the iron jawed menI
I will stand up and say yes till the finish is come and goneJ
God of all broken hearts empty hands sleeping soldiersB
God of all star flung beaches of night skyK
I and my love child stand up together to day and sing 'Thanks O God '-
