Dynamiter Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHIJKLMHHHJH

I sat with a dynamiter at supper in a German saloonA
eating steak and onionsB
And he laughed and told stories of his wife and childrenC
and the cause of labor and the working classD
It was laughter of an unshakable man knowing life to beE
a rich and red blooded thingF
Yes his laugh rang like the call of gray birds filled withG
a glory of joy ramming their winged flight throughH
a rain stormI
His name was in many newspapers as an enemy of theJ
nation and few keepers of churches or schools wouldK
open their doors to himL
Over the steak and onions not a word was said of hisM
deep days and nights as a dynamiterH
Only I always remember him as a lover of life a loverH
of children a lover of all free reckless laughterH
everywhere lover of red hearts and red blood theJ
world overH
