Cripple Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGHGIJIK

Once when I saw a crippleA
Gasping slowly his last days with the white plagueB
Looking from hollow eyes calling for airC
Desperately gesturing with wasted handsD
In the dark and dust of a house down in a slumE
I said to myselfF
I would rather have been a tall sunflowerG
Living in a country gardenH
Lifting a golden brown face to the summerG
Rain washed and dew mistedI
Mixed with the poppies and ranking hollyhocksJ
And wonderingly watching night after nightI
The clear silent processionals of starsK
