Choices Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC ABAC

A dog given life will not be much happierA
Than if it was doomed and enjoying the rainB
Yet still every night I sit and I wonderA
If maybe a choice could be repeated againC
-
I watch and I stare at the black shiny lusterA
Of inky decisions made filled with painB
Perhaps they were wrong I sit and I wonderA
Of choices I ve made and would make againC

Poet's note: I wanted to talk about regretting choices you've made in the past. They've shaped who you are today, and though you might wish you had made a different choice, you would probably make the same decision if whatever happened happened again.
