The Mystic Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBADED FAGHGIIJDJ KLMLNBOB FPAQAIIAAA ARARSTKT AKKAKIIAAA

There is a quest that calls meA
In nights when I am loneB
The need to ride where the ways divideC
The Known from the UnknownB
I mount what thought is near meA
And soon I reach the placeD
The tenuous rim where the Seen grows dimE
And the Sightless hides its faceD
-
I have ridden the windF
I have ridden the seaA
I have ridden the moon and starsG
I have set my feet in the stirrup seatH
Of a comet coursing MarsG
And everywhereI
Thro' the earth and airI
My thought speeds lightning shodJ
It comes to a place where checking paceD
It cries Beyond lies GodJ
-
It calls me out of the darknessK
It calls me out of sleepL
Ride ride for you must to the end of DustM
It bids and on I sweepL
To the wide outposts of BeingN
Where there is Gulf aloneB
And thro' a Vast that was never passedO
I listen for Life's toneB
-
I have ridden the windF
I have ridden the nightP
I have ridden the ghosts that fleeA
From the vaults of death like a chilling breathQ
Over eternityA
And everywhereI
Is the world laid bareI
Ether and star and clodA
Until I wind to its brink and findA
But the cry Beyond lies GodA
-
It calls me and ever calls meA
And vainly I replyR
Fools only ride where the ways divideA
What Is from the Whence and WhyR
I'm lifted into the saddleS
Of thoughts too strong to tameT
And down the deeps and over the steepsK
I find ever the sameT
-
I have ridden the windA
I have ridden the starsK
I have ridden the force that fliesK
With far intent thro' the firmamentA
And each to each alliesK
And everywhereI
That a thought may dareI
To gallop mine has trodA
Only to stand at last on the strandA
Where just beyond lies GodA
