In the scorching heat of the African Horn
Where the sun's rays hit ,hot
The aridity is harming and hellish
The bore holes offers little help
The habitat looks harsh and unforgiving
But still is my home ,my heaven

In the stinging heat of the African Horn
The natives take no heed
Wonder is what the heck they do
Harassing clannishness is affine to their heart
Harrowing seems their situation and hard
But still are my hope ,my heroes

In the sweltering heat of the African Horn
Hope does exist despite the hubris
There's a hint it will heal soon
That humanity shall blossom in my homeland
