The Name Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCD EFEF GG

Restricted by a path that can t be seenA
Feet entangled as I attempt to goB
The summer grass is overgrown and greenA
I must afford the time it takes to mowB
-
The neighbour s lawn is always trimmed and neatC
Her efforts are so easily achievedD
It takes me all my strength to do this featC
Her results must be seen to be believedD
-
I mow the grass and see a hidden signE
A maker s name embossed into the stoneF
I gasp aloud to see the name is mineE
Had I really done this all aloneF
-
I stoop to clean the swatch and claim the spaceG
And erect a seat to reset my paceG
