Dustman dustmanA
Through the deserted square he criesB
And babies put their rosy fistsC
Into their eyesB
-
There's nothing out of No man's landD
So drowsy since the world beganE
As Dustman dustmanA
DustmanA
-
He goes his village round at duskF
From door to door from day to dayG
And when the children hear his stepH
They stop their playG
-
Dustman dustmanA
Far up the street he is descriedG
And soberly the twilight gamesI
Are laid asideG
-
Dustman dustmanA
There Drowsyhead the old refrainJ
Dustman dustmanA
It goes againK
-
Dustman dustmanA
Hurry by and let me sleepL
When most I wish for you to comeM
You always creepL
-
Dustman dustmanA
And when I want to play some moreN
You never then are further offO
Than the next doorN
-
Dustman dustmanA
He heckles down the echoing curbP
A step that neither hopes nor hatesQ
Ever disturbP
-
Dustman dustmanA
He never varies from one paceR
And the monotony of timeS
Is in his faceR
-
And some day with more potent dustG
Brought from his home beyond the deepL
And gently scattered on our eyesB
We too shall sleepL
-
Hearing the call we know so wellT
Fade softly out as it beganE
Dustman dustmanA
DustmanA
