The Crimson House Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEDE FGHG IJIJ KLDL MNIN IOIO IKIK PQRQ STUT IQSQ

Love built a crimson houseA
I know it wellB
That he might have a homeC
Wherein to dwellB
-
Poor Love that roved so farD
And fared so illE
Between the morning starD
And the Hollow HillE
-
Before he found the valeF
Where he could bideG
With memory and oblivionH
Side by sideG
-
He took the silver dewI
And the dun red clayJ
And behold when he was throughI
How fair were theyJ
-
The braces of the skyK
Were in its girthL
That it should feel no jarD
Of the swinging earthL
-
That sun and wind might bleachM
But not destroyN
The house that he had buildedI
For his joyN
-
Here will I stay he saidI
And roam no moreO
And dust when I am deadI
Shall keep the doorO
-
There trooping dreams by nightI
Go by go byK
The walls are rosy whiteI
In the sun's eyeK
-
The windows are more clearP
Than sky or seaQ
He made them after God'sR
TransparencyQ
-
It is a dearer placeS
Than kirk or innT
Such joy on joy as thereU
Has never beenT
-
There may my longed for restI
And welcome beQ
When Love himself unbarsS
The door for meQ
