They yammered and went it blind | E |

Hem was the father of bigots and bores | G |
As the sands of the sea were they | H |
And Haw was the father of all the tribe | I |
Who criticise to day | H |

But God was an artist from the first | J |
And knew what he was about | K |
While over his shoulder sneered these two | F |
And advised him to rub it out | K |

They prophesied ruin ere man was made | L |
Such folly must surely fail | M |
And when he was done Do you think my Lord | N |
He's better without a tail | M |

And still in the honest working world | O |
With posture and hint and smirk | B |
These sons of the devil are standing by | P |
While Man does all the work | B |

They balk endeavor and baffle reform | Q |
In the sacred name of law | R |
And over the quavering voice of Hem | S |
Is the droning voice of Haw | R |
