At The End Of The Day. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDED FGFGCDED HIHICDED EJEJEDED

There is no escape by the riverA
There is no flight left by the fenB
We are compassed about by the shiverA
Of the night of their marching menB
Give a cheerC
For our hearts shall not give wayD
Here's to a dark to morrowE
And here's to a brave to dayD
-
The tale of their hosts is countlessF
And the tale of ours a scoreG
But the palm is naught to the dauntlessF
And the cause is more and moreG
Give a cheerC
We may die but not give wayD
Here's to a silent morrowE
And here's to a stout to dayD
-
God has said Ye shall fail and perishH
But the thrill ye have felt to nightI
I shall keep in my heart and cherishH
When the worlds have passed in nightI
Give a cheerC
For the soul shall not give wayD
Here's to the greater to morrowE
That is born of a great to dayD
-
Now shame on the craven trucklerE
And the puling things that mopeJ
We've a rapture for our bucklerE
That outwears the wings of hopeJ
Give a cheerE
For our joy shall not give wayD
Here's in the teeth of to morrowE
To the glory of to dayD
