A Stein Song. Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCCB DEDECCE FGFGCCG HEHECCE

Give a rouse then in the MaytimeA
For a life that knows no fearB
Turn night time into daytimeA
With the sunlight of good cheerB
For it's always fair weatherC
When good fellows get togetherC
With a stein on the table and a good song ringing clearB
-
When the wind comes up from CubaD
And the birds are on the wingE
And our hearts are patting jubaD
To the banjo of the springE
Then it's no wonder whetherC
The boys will get togetherC
With a stein on the table and a cheer for everythingE
-
For we're all frank and twentyF
When the spring is in the airG
And we've faith and hope a plentyF
And we've life and love to spareG
And it's birds of a featherC
When we all get togetherC
With a stein on the table and a heart without a careG
-
For we know the world is gloriousH
And the goal a golden thingE
And that God is not censoriousH
When his children have their flingE
And life slips its tetherC
When the boys get togetherC
With a stein on the table in the fellowship of springE
