Rhyme Scheme: ABCBDEFE BGBBBBFB HIHIJKJK LMLMNEFE BBOBDPQR

A stone jug and a pewter mugA
And a table set for threeB
A jug and a mug at every placeC
And a biscuit or two with BrieB
Three stone jugs of Cruiskeen LawnD
And a cheese like crusted foamE
The Kavanagh receives to nightF
McMurrough is at homeE
-
We three and the barley breeB
And a health to the one awayG
Who drifts down careless ItalyB
God's wanderer and estrayB
For friends are more than Arno's storeB
Of garnered charm and heB
Were blither with us here the nightF
Than Titian bids him beB
-
Throw ope the window to the starsH
And let the warm night inI
Who knows what revelry in MarsH
May rhyme with rouse akinI
Fill up and drain the loving cupJ
And leave no drop to wasteK
The moon looks in to see what's upJ
Begad she'd like a tasteK
-
What odds if Leinster's kingly rollL
Be now an idle thingM
The world is his who takes his tollL
A vagrant or a kingM
What though the crown be melted downN
And the heir a gypsy roamE
The Kavanagh receives to nightF
McMurrough is at homeE
-
We three and the barley breeB
And the moonlight on the floorB
Who were a man to do with lessO
What emperor has moreB
Three stone jugs of Cruiskeen LawnD
And three stout hearts to drainP
A slanter to the truth in the heart of youthQ
And the joy of the love of menR
