The Riddle Of The Dinosaur Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDAAEEFGGHHIIJ JKKLLMMBehold the mighty dinosaur | A |
Famous in prehistoric lore | A |
Not only for his weight and length | B |
But for his intellectual strength | B |
You will observe by these remains | C |
The creature had two sets of brains | C |
The one in his head the usual place | D |
The other at his spinal base | D |
Thus he could reason a priori | A |
As well as a posteriori | A |
No problem bothered him a bit | E |
He made both head and tail of it | E |
So wise he was | F |
So wise and solemn | G |
Each thought filled just a spinal column | G |
If one brain found the pressure strong | H |
It passed a few ideas along | H |
It something slipped the forward mind | I |
'Twas rescued by the one behind | I |
And if in error he was caught | J |
He had a saving afterthought | J |
As he thought twice before he spoke | K |
He had no judgment to revoke | K |
For he could think without congestion | L |
Upon both sides of every question | L |
O gaze upon this noble beast | M |
Defunct ten million years at least | M |
