Old Stuff Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABBCBC DBDBECEC FGFGCACH IJJJ K

If I go to see the playA
Of the story I am certainB
Promptly it gets under wayA
With the lifting of the curtainB
Builded all that's said and doneB
On the ancient recipeC
'Tis the same old Two and OneB
A and B in love with CC
-
If I read the latest bookD
There's the mossy situationB
One may confidently lookD
For the trite triangulationB
Old as time but ever newE
Seemingly this tale of ThreeC
Same old yarn of One and TwoE
A and C in love with BC
-
If I cast my eyes aroundF
Far and near and middle distanceG
Still the formula is foundF
In our everyday existenceG
Everywhere I look I seeC
Fact or fiction life or playA
Still the little game of ThreeC
B and C in love with AH
-
While the ancient law fulfillsI
Myriad moons shall wane and waxJ
Jack must have his pair of JillsJ
Jill must have her pair of JacksJ
