Folding The Flocks Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCDEFGGHHIIJKLLMM NNOOPPQRPPSS

Shepherds all and maidens fairA
Fold your flocks up for the airA
'Gins to thicken and the sunB
Already his great course hath runB
See the dew drops how they kissC
Every little flower that isD
Hanging on their velvet headsE
Like a string of crystal beadsF
See the heavy clouds low fallingG
And bright Hesperus down callingG
The dead night from under groundH
At whose rising mists unsoundH
Damps and vapours fly apaceI
And hover o'er the smiling faceI
Of these pastures where they comeJ
Striking dead both bud and bloomK
Therefore from such danger lockL
Every one his loved flockL
And let your dogs lie loose withoutM
Lest the wolf come as a scoutM
From the mountain and ere dayN
Bear a lamb or kid awayN
Or the crafty thievish foxO
Break upon your simple flocksO
To secure yourself from theseP
Be not too secure in easeP
So shall you good shepherds proveQ
And deserve your master's loveR
Now good night may sweetest slumbersP
And soft silence fall in numbersP
On your eyelids so farewellS
Thus I end my evening knellS
