Refining Fuller, Make Me Clean Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE EGHI JKLK

Refining Fuller make me cleanA
On me thy costly pearl bestowB
Thou art thyself the pearl I prizeC
The only joy I seek belowB
-
Disperse the clouds that damp my soulD
And make my heart unfit for theeE
Cast me not off but seal me nowF
Thine own peculiar propertyE
-
Look on the wounds of Christ for meE
My sentence graciously reprieveG
Extend thy peaceful sceptre LordH
And bid the dying traitor liveI
-
Tho' I've transgress'd the rules prescrib'dJ
And dar'd the justice I adoreK
Yet let thy smiling mercy sayL
Depart in peace and sin no moreK
