Bowed With A Sense Of Sin Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEDE FGFG HIHI EJEK LMNM

Bowed with a sense of sin I faintA
Beneath the complicated loadB
Father attend my deep complaintA
I am Thy creature Thou my GodC
-
Though I have broke Thy righteous lawD
Yet with me let Thy Spirit stayE
Thyself from me do not withdrawD
Nor take my spark of hope awayE
-
Mercy unlimited is ThineF
God of the penitent Thou artG
The saving power of blood divineF
Shall ease the anguish of my heartG
-
Then let not sin my ruin beH
Gives me in Thee my rest to findI
Jesus the sick have need of TheeH
Thou great Physician of mankindI
-
In my salvation Lord displayE
The triumphs of abounding graceJ
Tell me my guilt is done awayE
And turn my mourning into praiseK
-
Then shall I add my feeble songL
To theirs who chant Thy praise on highM
And spread with an immortal tongueN
Thy glory through the echoing skyM
