Exmoor Verses Iii. Dereliction Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD ECECFGFH

O'er the tears that we shed dearA
The bitter vines twistB
And the hawk and the red deerA
They keep where we kiss'dB
All broken lies the shielingC
That sheltered from rainD
With a star to pierce the ceilingC
And the dawn an empty paneD
-
Thro' the mist up the moorwayE
Fade hunters and packC
From the ridge to thy doorwayE
Happy voices float backC
O between the threads o' mist loveF
Reach your hands from the houseG
Only mind that we kiss'd loveF
And forget the broken vowsH
