The Honeysuckle Vine Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDD AAEEFFDD

'Twas a tender little honeysuckle vineA
That smiled and danced in the warm sunshineA
And spied a maid as fair as all maids beB
Who said Little honeysuckle come up to meB
So it climbed and climbed in the sun and the shadeC
And all summer long at her window stayedC
For that is the way that honeysuckles goD
And that is the way that true loves growD
-
Then the loving little honeysuckle vineA
Kissed the little maid in the warm sunshineA
But the winter came with an angry frownE
And the false little maid shut the window downE
And the sorrowing vine on the wintry sideF
Mourned and mourned for the love that diedF
And faded away in the wind and snowD
And that is the way that some loves goD
