Easy Knowledge Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: AABBCCDDEEFFGGHHII| How nice 'twould be if knowledge grew | A |
| On bushes as the berries do | A |
| Then we could plant our spelling seed | B |
| And gather all the words we need | B |
| The sums from off our slates we'd wipe | C |
| And wait for figures to be ripe | C |
| And go into the fields and pick | D |
| Whole bushels of arithmetic | D |
| Or if we wished to learn Chinese | E |
| We'd just go out and shake the trees | E |
| And grammar then in all the towns | F |
| Would grow with proper verbs and nouns | F |
| And in the gardens there would be | G |
| Great bunches of geography | G |
| And all the passers by would stop | H |
| And marvel at the knowledge crop | H |
| And I my pen would cease to push | I |
| And pluck my verses from a bush | I |
