The Orphanage Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEDE AAAA AFAF

When ere the tangled web is reftA
The kid gloved villain scowls and sneersB
And hapless innocence is leftA
With no assets save sighs and tearsC
-
'Tis then just then that in there stalksD
The hero watchful of her needsE
He talks Great heavens how he talksD
But we forgive him for his deedsE
-
Life is the drama here to dayA
And Death the villain of the plotA
It is a realistic playA
Shall it end well or shall it notA
-
The hero Oh the hero's partA
Is vacant to be played by youF
Then act it well An orphan's heartA
May beat the lighter if you doF
