A Parable Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDED

The cheese mites asked how the cheese got thereA
And warmly debated the matterB
The Orthodox said that it came from the airA
And the Heretics said from the platterB
They argued it long and they argued it strongC
And I hear they are arguing nowD
But of all the choice spirits who lived in the cheeseE
Not one of them thought of a cowD
