It Seemes That Tunis Is An Auncient Towne Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABCC DEDEFF

It seemes that Tunis is an auncient towneA
Neere to the ruines of Carthage once so prowdeB
Whose stately buildings now are cleane pulled downeA
And calmde her bruit that sounded sometime lowdeB
But roome that is their auncient far awayC
Doth holde and shall though cities all decayC
-
Roome is more large then spacious Millaine faireD
Or Venice or the Tartars great CamballE
Boeams three Prages or Egypts rich AlcaireD
Or Quinset in Cataie biggest of them allE
And more I say after the day of doomeF
Hell shall be no where vnles it be in roomeF
