Flesh And The Spirit, The Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGGCHIIEFJJKLMN OOOOPPQQKKRRSSTT

In secret place where once I stoodA
Close by the Banks of Lacrim floodB
I heard two sisters reason onC
Things that are past and things to comeD
One Flesh was call'd who had her eyeE
On worldly wealth and vanityF
The other Spirit who did rearG
Her thoughts unto a higher sphereG
quot Sister quot quoth Flesh quot what liv'st thou onC
Nothing but MeditationH
Doth Contemplation feed thee soI
Regardlessly to let earth goI
Can Speculation satisfyE
Notion without RealityF
Dost dream of things beyond the MoonJ
And dost thou hope to dwell there soonJ
Hast treasures there laid up in storeK
That all in th' world thou count'st but poorL
Art fancy sick or turn'd a SotM
To catch at shadows which are notN
Come come I'll show unto thy senseO
Industry hath its recompenceO
What canst desire but thou maist seeO
True substance in varietyO
Dost honour like Acquire the sameP
As some to their immortal fameP
And trophies to thy name erectQ
Which wearing time shall ne'er dejectQ
For riches dost thou long full soreK
Behold enough of precious storeK
Earth hath more silver pearls and goldR
Than eyes can see or hands can holdR
Affects thou pleasure Take thy fillS
Earth hath enough of what you willS
Then let not go what thou maist findT
For things unknown only in mind quotT
