Sonnet Xxxvi. Summer Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCAABACDEEDAA F

Now on hills rocks and streams and vales and plainsA
Full looks the shining Day Our gardens wearB
The gorgeous robes of the consummate YearC
With laugh and shout and song stout Maids and SwainsA
Heap high the fragrant hay as thro' rough lanesA
Rings the yet empty waggon See in airB
The pendent cherries red with tempting stainsA
Gleam thro' their boughs Summer thy bright careerC
Must slacken soon in Autumn's milder swayD
Then thy now heapt and jocund meads shall standE
Smooth vacant silent thro' th' exulting LandE
As wave thy Rival's golden fields and gayD
Her Reapers throng She smiles and binds the sheavesA
Then bends her parting step o'er fall'n and rustling leavesA
