Sonnet Xxviii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDCDCD

O GENIUS does thy Sun resembling beamA
To the internal eyes of Man displayB
In clearer prospect the momentous wayB
That leads to peace Do they not rather seemA
Dazzled by lustres in continual streamA
Till night they find in such excessive dayB
Art thou not prone with too intense a rayB
To gild the hope improbable the dreamA
Of fancied good or bid the sigh upbraidC
Imaginary evils and involveD
All real sorrow in a darker shadeC
To fond credulity to rash resolveD
Dost thou not prompt till reason's sacred aidC
And fair discretion in thy fires dissolveD
