Sonnet Xlvi Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCAACCADEFEGG

Dark as the silent stream beneath the nightA
Thy funeral glides to Life's eternal homeB
Child of its narrow house how late the bloomC
The facile smile the soft eye's crystal lightA
Each grace of Youth's gay morn that charms our sightA
Play'd o'er that Form now sunk in Death's cold gloomC
Insensate ghastly for the yawning tombC
Alas fit Inmate Thus we mourn the blightA
Of Virgin Beauty and endowments rareD
In their glad hours of promise O when AgeE
Drops like the o'er blown faded rose tho' dearF
Its long known worth no stormy sorrows rageE
But swell when we behold unsoil'd by timeG
Youth's broken Lily perished in its primeG
