Sonnet Xcix. On The Violent Thunder Storms Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCCBBCBCDEDEDE

DECEMBERA
-
-
Remorseless WINTER in thy iron reignB
Comes the loud whirlwind on thy pinion borneC
The long long night the tardy leaden mornC
The grey frost riv'ling lane and hill and plainB
Chill silent snows and heavy pattering rainB
These are thy known allies and Life forlornC
Yet patient droops nor breathes repinings vainB
But now Usurper thou hast madly tornC
From Summer's hand his stores of angry swayD
His rattling thunders with thy winds uniteE
On thy pale snows those livid lightnings playD
That pour their deathful splendors o'er his nightE
To poise the pleasures of his golden dayD
Soft gales blue skies and long protracted lightE
