Sonnet Xci Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDCDCD| On the fleet streams the Sun that late arose | A |
| In amber radiance plays the tall young grass | B |
| No foot hath bruis'd clear Morning as I pass | B |
| Breathes the pure gale that on the blossom blows | A |
| And as with gold yon green hill's summit glows | A |
| The lake inlays the vale with molten glass | B |
| Now is the Year's soft youth yet me alas | B |
| Cheers not as it was wont impending woes | A |
| Weigh on my heart the joys that once were mine | C |
| Spring leads not back and those that yet remain | D |
| Fade while she blooms Each hour more lovely shine | C |
| Her crystal beams and feed her floral Train | D |
| But ah with pale and waning fires decline | C |
| Those eyes whose light my filial hopes sustain | D |
