Sonnet Lxxv. Subject Continued Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABCADCDEFF

He found her not yet much the POET foundA
To swell Imagination's golden storeB
On Arno's bank and on that bloomy shoreB
Warbling Parthenope in the wide boundA
Where Rome's forlorn Campania stretches roundA
Her ruin'd towers and temples classic loreB
Breathing sublimer spirit from the powerC
Of local consciousness Thrice happy woundA
Given by his sleeping graces as the FairD
Hung over them enamour'd the desireC
Thy fond result inspir'd that wing'd him thereD
Where breath'd each Roman and each Tuscan LyreE
Might haply fan the emulative flameF
That rose o'er DANTE's song and rival'd MARO's fameF
