Sonnet Iv. To Honora Sneyd[1], Whose Health Was Always Best In Winter Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAABBACDCECE C F

And now the youthful gay capricious SpringA
Piercing her showery clouds with crystal lightB
And with their hues reflected streaking brightB
Her radiant bow bids all her Warblers singA
The Lark shrill caroling on soaring wingA
The lonely Thrush in brake with blossoms whiteB
That tunes his pipe so loud while from the sightB
Coy bending their dropt heads young Cowslips flingA
Rich perfume o'er the fields It is the primeC
Of Hours that Beauty robes yet all they gildD
Cheer and delight in this their fragrant timeC
For thy dear sake to me less pleasure yieldE
Than veil'd in sleet and rain and hoary rimeC
Dim Winter's naked hedge and plashy fieldE
