To Christina, Queen Of Sweden Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BBCCDDEE

Verses to accompany a portrait of CromwellA
-
Bright Martial Maid Queen of the frozen zoneB
The northern pole supports thy shining throneB
Behold what furrows age and steel can ploughC
The helmet's weight oppressed this wrinkled browC
Through fate's untrodden paths I move my handsD
Still act my free born people's bold commandsD
Yet this stern shade to you submits his frownsE
Nor are these looks always severe to crownsE
