Nature had long a Treasure madeA
Of all her choisest storeB
Fearing when She should be decay'dA
To beg in vain for moreB
-
Her Orientest Colours thereC
And Essences most pureD
With sweetest Perfumes hoarded wereE
All as she thought secureD
-
She seldom them unlock'd or us'dF
But with the nicest careC
For with one grain of them diffus'dF
She could the World repairC
-
But likeness soon together drewG
What she did separate layH
Of which one perfect Beauty grewG
And that was CeliaI
-
Love wisely had of long fore seenJ
That he must once grow oldK
And therefore stor'd a MagazineJ
To save him from the coldK
-
He kept the several Cells repleatK
With Nitre thrice refin'dK
The Naphta's and the Sulphurs heatK
And all that burns the MindK
-
He fortifi'd the double GateK
And rarely thither cameL
For with one Spark of these he streightK
All Nature could inflameL
-
Till by vicinity so longM
A nearer Way they soughtK
And grown magnetically strongM
Into each other wroughtK
-
Thus all his fewel did uniteK
To make one fire highN
None ever burn'd so hot so brightK
And Celia that am IN
-
So we alone the happy restK
Whilst all the World is poorO
And have within our Selves possestK
All Love's and Nature's storeB
