Proem Iii Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis
Rhyme Scheme: ABABABCDCEECEE| Not all the brilliant beauties I have seen | A |
| Mid the gay splendors of some Southern hall | B |
| In jewelled grandeur or in plainest mien | A |
| Did so my fancy and my heart enthral | B |
| As doth this noble woman Nature's queen | A |
| Such hearty greeting from her lips did fall | B |
| And I ennobled was through her esteem | C |
| At once made sharer of her confidence | D |
| As by enchantment of some rapturous dream | C |
| With subtler vision gifted finer sense | E |
| She loosed my tongue's refraining diffidence | E |
| And softer accents lent our varying theme | C |
| So much my Lady others doth surpass | E |
| I read them all through her transparent glass | E |
