To Lothario Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAB CDCE FGFG HIHI JKJK

Think not Lothario while I viewA
The bright expression of thy faceB
And on thy cheek of crimson hueA
Emotion's varying beauties traceB
-
That in my heart one feeling dwellsC
But what the coldest must approveD
Nor think my conscious bosom swellsC
With aught resembling secret loveE
-
No still these eyes can fix on thineF
Nor fear their keenest glance to meetG
And when thou boldly searchest mineF
My quiet heart disdains to beatG
-
But if by vain self love misledH
Thou in my looks canst passion seeI
And think by weak illusions fedH
My towering hopes aspire to theeI
-
Let us my absent Henry seekJ
And when he meets my conscious eyesK
In every glance my heart will speakJ
And plainly tell for whom it sighsK
