Rhyme Scheme: ABABCDCD EFEFGHGI JKJLAMAM ANANOPQR

Now wat ye wha I met yestreenA
Coming down the street my JoB
My mistress in her tartan screenA
Fow bonny braw and sweet my JoB
My dear quoth I thanks to the nightC
That never wish'd a lover illD
Since ye're out of your mither's sightC
Let's take a wauk up to the hillD
-
O Katy wiltu gang wi' meE
And leave the dinsome town a whileF
The blossom's sprouting frae the treeE
And a' the summer's gawn to smileF
The mavis nightingale and larkG
The bleeting lambs and whistling hyndH
In ilka dale green shaw and parkG
Will nourish health and glad ye'r mindI
-
Soon as the clear goodman of dayJ
Bends his morning draught of dewK
We'll gae to some burnside and playJ
And gather flowers to busk ye'r browL
We'll pou the dazies on the greenA
The lucken gowans frae the bogM
Between hands now and then we'll leanA
And sport upo' the velvet fogM
-
There's up into a pleasant glenA
A wee piece frae my father's towerN
A canny saft and flow'ry denA
Which circling birks has form'd a bowerN
When e'er the sun grows high and warmO
We'll to the cauller shade removeP
There will I lock thee in mine armQ
And love and kiss and kiss and loveR
