West Wind In Winter Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABABAB CDEDED FGFGFG HIHIHI

Another day awakes And whoA
Changing the world is thisB
He comes at whiles the Winter throughA
West Wind I would not missB
His sudden tryst the long the newA
Surprises of his kissB
-
Vigilant I make haste to closeC
With him who comes my wayD
I go to meet him as he goesE
I know his note his layD
His colour and his morning roseE
And I confess his dayD
-
My window waits at dawn I harkF
His call at morn I meetG
His haste around the tossing parkF
And down the softened streetG
The gentler light is his the darkF
The grey he turns it sweetG
-
So too so too do I confessH
My poet when he singsI
He rushes on my mortal guessH
With his immortal thingsI
I feel I know him On I pressH
He finds me 'twixt his wingsI
