Sonnet--thoughts In Separation Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCA ABBA DED FGF

We never meet yet we meet day by dayA
Upon those hills of life dim and immenseB
The good we love and sleep our innocenceC
O hills of life high hills And higher than theyA
-
Our guardian spirits meet at prayer and playA
Beyond pain joy and hope and long suspenseB
Above the summits of our souls far henceB
An angel meets an angel on the wayA
-
Beyond all good I ever believed of theeD
Or thou of me these always love and liveE
And though I fail of thy ideal of meD
-
My angel falls not short They greet each otherF
Who knows they may exchange the kiss we giveG
Thou to thy crucifix I to my motherF
