Rorate Coeli desuper et nubes pluant JustumA
Aperiatur Terra et germinet SalvatoremA
-
No sudden thing of glory and fearB
Was the Lord's coming but the dearB
Slow Nature's days followed each otherC
To form the Saviour from his MotherC
One of the children of the yearB
-
The earth the rain received the trustD
The sun and dews to frame the JustD
He drew his daily life from theseE
According to his own decreesE
Who makes man from the fertile dustD
-
Sweet summer and the winter wildF
These brought him forth the UndefiledF
The happy Springs renewed againG
His daily bread the growing grainH
The food and raiment of the ChildF
