An Unmarked Festival Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

There's a feast undated yetA
Both our true lives hold it fastB
The first day we ever metA
What a great day came and passedB
Unknown then but known at lastB
-
And we met You knew not meC
Mistress of your joys and fearsD
Held my hands that held the keyC
Of the treasure of your yearsD
Of the fountain of your tearsE
-
For you knew not it was IF
And I knew not it was youG
We have learnt as days went byF
But a flower struck root and grewG
Underground and no one knewG
-
Days of days Unmarked it roseH
In whose hours we were to meetI
And forgotten passed Who knowsH
Was earth cold or sunny SweetI
At the coming of your feetI
-
One mere day we thought the measureJ
Of such days the year fulfilsH
Now how dearly would we treasureJ
Something from its fields its rillsH
And its memorable hillsH
-
But one leaf of oak or limeK
Or one blossom from its bowersH
No one gathered at the timeK
Oh to keep that day of oursH
By one relic of its flowersH
