A Poet's Sonnet Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBA ABBA CBD CBD

If I should quit thee sacrifice forswearA
To what my art shall I give thee in keepingB
To the long winds of heaven Shall these come sweepingB
My songs forgone against my face and hairA
-
Or shall the mountain streams my lost joys bearA
My past poetic pain in the rain be weepingB
No I shall live a poet waking sleepingB
And I shall die a poet unawareA
-
From me my art thou canst not pass awayC
And I a singer though I cease to singB
Shall own thee without joy in thee or woeD
-
Through my indifferent words of every dayC
Scattered and all unlinked the rhymes shall ringB
And make my poem and I shall not knowD
