The Two Questions Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABAC DEDE FGHG IGJG KLKL EMEM NGNG

A riddling world one criedA
If pangs must be would God that they were sentB
To the impure the cruel and passed asideA
The holy innocentC
-
But I Ah no no noD
Not the clean heart transpierced not tears that fallE
For a child's agony not a martyr's woeD
Not these not these appalE
-
Not docile motherhoodF
Dutiful frequent closed in all distressG
Not shedding of the unoffending bloodH
Not little joy grown lessG
-
Not all benign old ageI
With dotage mocked not gallantry that faintsG
And still pursues not the vile heritageJ
Of sin's disease in saintsG
-
Not these defeat the mindK
For great is that abjection and augustL
That irony Submissive we shall findK
A splendour in that dustL
-
Not these puzzle the willE
Not these the yet unanswered question urgeM
But the unjust stricken but the hands that killE
Lopped but the merited scourgeM
-
The sensualist at fastN
The merciless felled the liar in his snaresG
The cowardice of my judgment sees aghastN
The flail the chaff the taresG
