Candlemas Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABBAAAB CDDCCCD EFFEEEF

O hearken all ye little weedsA
That lie beneath the snowB
So low dear hearts in poverty so lowB
The sun hath risen for royal deedsA
A valiant wind the vanguard leadsA
Now quicken ye lest unborn seedsA
Before ye rise and blowB
-
O furry living things adreamC
On winter's drowsy breastD
How rest ye there how softly safely restD
Arise and follow where a gleamC
Of wizard gold unbinds the streamC
And all the woodland windings seemC
With sweet expectance blestD
-
My birds come back the hollow skyE
Is weary for your noteF
Sweet throat come back O liquid mellow throatF
Ere May's soft minions hereward flyE
Shame on ye laggards to denyE
The brooding breast the sun bright eyeE
The tawny shining coatF
