To A Successful Man Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCBC DEDE FGHG IJIJ KLKL

WHAT THE GHOSTS SAIDA
And after all the labour and the painsB
After the heaping up of gold on goldC
After success that locked your feet in chainsB
And left you with a heart so tired and oldC
-
Strange is it not to find your chief desireD
Is what you might have had for nothing thenE
The face of love beside a cottage fireD
And friendly laughter with your fellow menE
-
You were so rich when fools esteemed you poorF
You ruled a field that kings could never buyG
The whisper of the sea was at your doorH
And all those quiet stars were in your skyG
-
The nook of ferns below the breathless woodI
Where one poor book could unlock ParadiseJ
What will you give us now for that lost goodI
Better forget You cannot pay the priceJ
-
You left them for the fame in which you trustK
But youth and hope did you forsake them tooL
Courage When dust at length returns to dustK
In your last dreams they may come back to youL
