Shakespeare's Kingdom Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCB DEFE GHIH HJKJ LHHH

When Shakespeare came to LondonA
He met no shouting throngsB
He carried in his knapsackC
A scroll of quiet songsB
-
No proud heraldic trumpetD
Acclaimed him on his wayE
Their court and camp have perishedF
The songs live on for ayE
-
Nobody saw or heard themG
But all around him thereH
Spirits of light and musicI
Went treading the April airH
-
He passed like any pedlarH
Yet he had wealth untoldJ
The galleons of th' armadaK
Could not contain his goldJ
-
The kings rode on to darknessL
In England's conquering hourH
Unseen arrived her splendourH
Unknown her conquering powerH
