Winter Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: ABCDEFGBHIJK

A dog shrieks in misery from a bridgeA
To heaven which stands like old gray stoneB
Upon far off houses And like a ropeC
Made of tar a dead river lies on the snowD
Three trees black frozen flames make threatsE
At the end of the earth They pierceF
With sharp knives the rough airG
In which a scrap of bird hangs all aloneB
A few street lights wade towards the cityH
Extinguished candles for a corpse And a smearI
Of people shrinks together and is soonJ
Drowned in the wretched white swampK
