The Excursion Poem Rhyme Scheme and Analysis

Rhyme Scheme: A BCDEFGHIFJKLLMN

Dedicated to Kurt Lubasch JulyA
-
You I can endure these stolidB
Rooms and barren streetsC
And the red sun on the housesD
And the books readE
A million times agoF
Come we must go farG
Away from the cityH
Let us lie downI
In this gentle meadowF
Let us raise threatening yet helplessJ
Against the mindless largeK
Deadly blue shiny skiesL
The fleshless dull eyesL
The cursed handsM
Swollen from cryingN
